A striking transformation of a former cart shed into a high-quality entertaining barn, blending traditional craftsmanship
with modern design. Featuring bespoke oak joinery throughout, expansive handcrafted folding windows, and a beautifully
designed multi-functional interior, the project carefully preserves the building’s original character while introducing
contemporary comfort and seamless indoor-outdoor living.

STUNNING OPEN ENTERTAINING SPACE
A key focal point of the transformation is the installation of large, expansive, locally handcrafted folding windows opening onto the terrace. These provide a seamless transition between the barn interior and the newly created courtyard, enhancing light, openness, and connection to the outdoor space. Additional windows were replaced with bespoke oak-framed units, while retaining the characterful nature of original-style shutters to selected openings. All doors were replaced with bespoke handcrafted oak doors, reinforcing the overall quality and craftsmanship.
Internally, the barn has been thoughtfully designed for multiple uses. The main open-plan space accommodates a generous dining area, ideal for entertaining. A new kitchenette features a Sorrell & Smith Furniture Co. live-edge English oak worktop, complemented by a large storage room with fitted shelving and a beautifully finished WC. New timber flooring runs throughout, tying the spaces together.
Lighting has been carefully considered, with elegant fixtures from Lily & Lula and Pooky Lighting highlighting the stunning vaulted ceiling and exposed oak beams. At the far end, the barn includes a beautiful office space, discreetly hidden behind a statement oak partition wall. The office itself features handcrafted shelving and benching, all locally made, emphasising the bespoke nature of the project.

OFFICE - OAK PANEL CONCEALLED
Crafted locally, this stunning four-panel wall conceals a spacious, light-filled office, featuring bespoke shelving and custom-built bookcases.
